FAQ

Answers to what guests ask us most often. If you can’t find something here, give us a call.

Tickets

How much is a ticket and what’s included?

A ticket costs 16 800 Kč incl. VAT and is valid for Smetana Hall and boxes. Included: a welcome drink and tasting canapés, a multi-course tasting menu with refills, unlimited wine, beer and soft drinks, unlimited champagne, a sommelier and personal waiter at your table, and barista coffee. Catering by Restaurant Vyšehrad 2000.

Can I buy a single ticket, or do I need a whole table?

You can buy even a single seat. Click a specific chair at a specific table on the hall plan.

Can we reserve a whole table? How many seats does it have?

The hall has 46 tables. Thirty seat twelve, sixteen smaller ones seat four. You can select a whole table on the plan, or contact us and we’ll reserve it for you.

Will we sit with strangers, or can we choose who we sit with?

You choose seats yourself on the hall plan, so mark neighbouring chairs to sit together. Remaining seats at the table may be taken by other guests. To keep a table to yourselves, reserve the whole table.

How does payment work?

After reserving seats on the plan, we’ll e-mail an invoice and QR payment code. The payment method is up to you.

If I can’t attend, what are my options?

The ticket is not name-bound, so you can pass it to another guest.

Until when can tickets be bought? Are they sold on site?

Tickets are sold until the hall sells out. They are not sold on site.

How will I receive my ticket?

We’ll send a printed ticket by post.

Before the ball and on site

When do doors open, when is dinner served and when does the ball end?

Doors open at 19:00, the formal opening is at 20:00 and the ball ends at 2:00. After you’re seated, three starters, a welcome drink and beverages await. The tasting menu starts around 20:30.

Is there a cloakroom and how much does it cost?

Yes, the cloakroom is free. You’ll find it behind the flower wall.

Is the building accessible?

Yes, there is a lift for guests with reduced mobility.

Can I arrive later?

The programme starts promptly at 20:00, so we recommend arriving on time.

Dress code

What exactly does Black Tie mean? Is a dark suit enough?

A dark suit is not enough. Gentlemen wear a tuxedo or white tie; ladies a long evening gown or formal dress.

What if I don’t follow the dress code?

The organiser reserves the right to refuse entry if the dress code is not followed, with no refund.

Can you recommend a tuxedo/gown rental?

For gentlemen we recommend Manemo rental; for ladies stylist Dominik Navrátil.

Food and drinks

Is all drinking really included?

Unlimited wine, beer, soft drinks, champagne and coffee are included. Spirits and cocktails are available at the bar and paid separately.

Can I order food repeatedly?

Yes, you can reorder the tasting menu until midnight. Each table has its own service all evening.

What if I have an allergy, am vegetarian or gluten-free?

No problem — please tell us in advance by phone and specify the allergy. Vegetarian and vegan options are always on the menu.

Programme and charity

How does the auction work — do I have to bid?

The auction runs during the evening and bidding is from your table — you don’t go anywhere. Bidding is of course voluntary.

Does the full auction proceed go to the families?

Yes, the full amount raised. It is split equally among three families.

Can I donate for the children even if I’m not attending?

Yes. In the Charity section each child has a QR code. Scan it in your mobile banking and send any amount.

Can I take photos at the ball and where will they appear?

There is a photo booth open from 21:00 to 23:00. A photographer also covers the ball and photos appear later on our website.
