We auction for three children

The auction takes place during the evening — you bid from your table. The proceeds are split equally among three families.

She is fourteen months old and lives with a rare genetic change that has affected her sight, hearing and development. She cannot yet hold her head up on her own. But she always pays attention when she hears the voice of her older sister Karolínka, who talks to her and tries to stay close.

How the auction works

You bid from your table

The auction runs during the evening. You stay seated and raise your hand at your table.

Selected items are auctioned

Items for the auction are donated by partners, artists and friends of the ball.

Proceeds are split equally

The full amount raised is split into three equal parts, one for each family.

The Award for Humanity is presented

The evening also includes an award for a person who helps others.

Award for Humanity

Each year we honour a person who has long helped others without talking about it.

A glass award by Jiří Pačinek

The award is made by Jiří Pačinek’s glassworks. Each piece is a hand-blown original, so no two awards are the same.

8th edition

Páťa
After a complicated birth he has lasting effects. He cannot walk or speak, but he exercises daily, goes to hippotherapy and swims. Play-based therapy works best for him.
Verunka
She lives with butterfly wing disease. Every day she needs wound care, and she has an assistant at kindergarten.
Tomášek
He was born in the 28th week as one of twins. He undergoes rehab, spa stays and ergotherapy.

Katka
She also lives with butterfly wing disease. Even so she plays the saxophone, performs in two bands and a choir, and teaches at an art school.
Eliška
She has a rare genetic syndrome. Her story for us was written by her mother.
Jasmína
She is six, attends first grade with an assistant and sings in a choir. After surgery she is learning to walk again.

Butterfly wing disease. Sea stays bring him relief that the family cannot afford alone.
